15 mile Mill Mountain to Big Schloss Hike, wine and live music finale

Come out with us for a spectacular hike up Mill Mountain and short wine tasting with live music to start off your weekend!

The trail starts along the stony creek trail and then follows the ridge from Sugar Knob to Mill Mountain, the highest point of the Great North Mountain Range.  The final destination before returning down to the base is the famous Big Schloss, located along the border of Virginia and West Virginia.

We will carpool from Centreville park and ride to the trailhead together

The hike should wrap up around 3pm. After the hike we will stop at the winery for cheese and wine tasting.

Even if you have no interest in wines, come along get outdoors and cheer on the wino's of the group, its sure to be a good time!

We expect to be back in Centreville by 7pm.

I will send an update on the weather conditions shortly before the event, but its always best to come prepared for any weather that presents itself!
In case you need a ride or can offer one, let people know in the comments section.

Alex did you find a ride? If not, perhaps you and Michael could cab to a spot closer to the beltway, and if no one is passing down the beltway, I would come get you guys and drop you off afterward.

It''ll be worth it! Please set your alarm clock, cause we will need to leave shortly after 6:30am to be able to start the hike at 8:20am like last time - otherwise we may miss the wine and music ;)

OK Marc - we'll set the alarm; we're in for wine and music! But we'll meet you at the parking at 8:20 - send coordinates

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
