Trek to THE WHARF Offices and Meet the Developer - Pre HAPPY HOUR

A chance to see this amazing proposed development in drawings and model, meet the developer, and discuss the future of DC's waterfront.

When complete this waterfront site will include $2 billion total investment, 3.2 million square feet on 27 acres of land and 24 acres of riparian rights in the historic Washington Channel. It is a blend of retail, residential, office, maritime, hotel, park and cultural space that will create a vibrant, amenity-rich 24-hour neighborhood for the District that will include the Fish Market and Cantina Marina.

The developer, Hoffman - Madison Marquette -- will met with us and show us their stunning plans for an environmentally sustainable development and answer our questions.

  • 10 acres of parks, open spaces and civic areas
  • 500 boat slips
  • 4 public piers (commercial and recreational)
  • More than 5,000-person capacity Wharf Hall for live music and cultural events
  • 50% of all building rooftops are green

I had hoped to make it up to DC for this but I have a really bad case of poison ivy on my knee and it is just too uncomfortable to enjoy the event.

Oh Oh. P.I. strikes again. So sorry. There was a fair amount passed on our hike last week-end but the swim in the stream apparently took care of it for me! I will be handing out the Alpine Ascents catalogs at Happy Hour -- the ones you left with me. Will miss u.

There are a variety of surface parking lots and on street parking spots in the immediate vicinity, however there is a Kastles Tennis match tonight (their stadium is several blocks north of THE WHARF and away from Cantina Marina). Park in the surface lots closer to Cantina Marina or near 6th Street SW. There is a Capitol BikeShare station right at THE WHARF!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
