Cross Country Ski Trip Cabin Payment

Cabin check-in time is 4 PM on Friday.  Check-out time is 10 AM on Sunday.

You must check with the Blackwater Lodge registration desk when you arrive to confirm your cabin number.  I will give them a list of names when I arrive.

Hollis, Kathleen and Jim have made payments for the cabins directly so please respect the property and don't leave any messes.

If you are in a Deluxe cabin, $5 will be due upon arrival and paid to either Jim or Kathleen.

I tried accommodate everyone's first choice for deluxe or regular.  I also tried even out the males and females for room sharing purposes.  Since the cabins are a little bit spread out, I thought it would be easier if people knew which cabin to head to, rather than moving bags later.  We have deluxe cabins #29 and #30, and regular cabins #8 and #14. The cabin numbers are subject to change according to the Park.

The cabins have linens, pillows, blankets and a full kitchen with dishes, utensils, coffee maker, dish soap, etc.  They DO NOT have coffee filters or paper towels.  There are 4 rooms in each cabin - 2 with two twins and 2 with one queen.  I put the guys on twins, but feel free to re-arrange yourselves in the cabins if you want to.

Please note there are no refunds, so you are committing to going on this trip regardless.  That being said, this is a great deal and as always we will have more fun than a barrel of backpackers, winter snow style or not, but here is hoping for snow!!!

    Cabin 30 - I'll bring a roll or paper towels and will also have a small coffee press (makes coffee for 3-4). I have almond milk to share for creamer and limited breakfast use too (I'll use more than half the container for 2 days worth of breakfast protein shakes though).

    Please note the Deluxe Cabins are $65 per person for the weekend and not $60, so if you are in a Deluxe cabin will have to pay myself or Kathleen the extra $5 in person. If anyone wants to trade from a Regular to Deluxe cabin you need to find a willing partner to trade with and notify Kathleen or myself.

    Jim, the deluxe cabins are listed as $300 a night for Friday and Saturday nights, which would be $75 pp before any fees. Did they give you a discount for reserving multiple cabins? Not reserving yet, just want to be prepped with the correct info :) Thanks!

    Ok, Beth and I have over $1600 of our own money tied up in these cabins so need someone else to step up and reserve a 4th cabin if there are another 8 people who will pay their share promptly. My guess is it will be $65 per person for the entire weekend for the cabin only, not including food.

      Well, there are what 45 people signed up (i think), 16 of which are in 2 cabins. I believe Jim reserved a third cabin bringing the total of people in cabins to 24. That leaves a bunch of other people that may stay at the Fiddle and elsewhere. I do know what you mean, though.

    Ok, by my count between people who committed to Hollis, me or on the website discussion section and the extras who did not follow directions, we are up to 30 people, so we need to look into renting another cabin to make 32 (4x8) or putting people on the floor or kicking people out of the cabin who signed up but did not commit before.       I've used BWF cabins for my family and other friends several times in the past, though not recently. With extra people You run out of plates and cups and silverware and chairs, etc., but that can be managed. There are couches that can accomodate at least one extra person. But a lot of extras makes things a little tough on everyone. I've made enough trouble already so I'll just shut up for a while and cross my fingers and see what happens....
