Anyone else?

Will, so excited for this night. :)

I dunno, personally I think you can't go wrong with Supersonic if you're talking an Oasis song.

And since we're talking retro britpop, I'd love to hear any or all of the following, if you're in the mood: Happy Mondays' "Wrote for Luck" or "Hallelujah," anything at all by Ride or JAMC, New Fast Automatic Daffodils' "Stockholm"...Blur's "Country House"... Curve's "Fait Accompli"...Carter USM's "Sheriff Fatman"...Darling Buds' "It Makes No Difference," Primitives' "Crash"... any stuff like that.

And of course, ANY Stone Roses song is a given--except please, not "Fool's Gold." *Especially* not the extended mix! It's the ONLY SR song most DJs ever play, soooo overdone, and there are so many better ones they did.

Do the Pixies count as britpop, since they were a 4AD band? If so, Pixies, too!

All,

You like Britpop?  You should support the last of the true Britpop
nights in DC at DC9 this Saturday (I love Mousetrap, but that was a
one-off).  Come early (930), dance often, make requests.

Last time, I was really torn about what Oasis song to play, so I ended
up playing Beady Eye instead.  Mindful of the need for something short
and punch, I was thinking "Step Out" this time around.  What do you
think?

Any other requests?

William
