Acceptance Testing Web Services with Gradle, Cucumber, and Groovy

Sam Brown will be demonstrating and discussing how to write acceptance tests for SOAP-based HTTP web services in Cucumber. The talk will showcase the usage of Gradle, Cucumber-JVM, Groovy-WSLite, along with Sam's opensource plugin: gradle-cucumber-plugin. While the examples will use SOAP, the techniques apply equally well for RESTful web services.
Attendees should leave with an understanding of:
- Why acceptance tests are important
- How to write and use Cucumber tests with Gradle
- How to call web services with the Groovy-WSLite library
