Title: Apache ServiceMix, Camel, Karaf & ActiveMQ by Michelle Davis

When: April 16, 6:30 - 9 PM (presentation begins at 7 PM)

Description:  April's meeting will be an overview of the integration of ServiceMix, Camel and ActiveMQ into the JBoss Portfolio

  • The Newest JBoss Portfolio Additions - Apache ServiceMix, Camel, Karaf and ActiveMQ (7:00 pm - 8:30 pm)

What is JBoss FUSE or JBoss A-MQ? Red Hat JBoss Fuse is a flexible open source Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) based on popular Apache projects such as Camel, a versatile enterprise integration pattern framework, and Apache Karaf, an OSGI container, which enable faster time-to-solution integration implementations. Red Hat JBoss A-MQ is based largely on the Apache ActiveMQ project and provides a standards-based, high-performance messaging platform.

Redhat recently acquired the FuseSource open source products from Progress Software. With the addition of these lightweight, highly customizable integration frameworks and technologies, RedHat broadens their integration technology portfolio, JBoss, with proven and popular integration and messaging platforms based on highly successful Apache projects. Come find out what they are and when and how to use them. Hint: if you have been thinking about OSGI and integration patterns, think no further........
