Meet other local Math Buffs of all ability levels. Discuss all forms of math, including pure mathematics. Fun to the nth degree for everyone who likes to solve for X!
Some of the activities in this meetup are:
* Monthly MathJams: meet at a restaurant to talk about mathematics with other people.
* Book clubs: read a math-oriented popular-level book and then discuss it.
* Lectures: attend talks at the Mathematical Association of America. (We're not affiliated with the MAA, but usually add their public lectures to our calendar.)
We're also working on our own occasional series of informal talks.
