You may have noticed DCMMer Dave Saunders wearing an eye patch at our July meetup. Don't be fooled, though. Dave's actually a ninja - an online branding ninja - and he's offered to present to us on how to manage your online brand.

I learned a lot, got some great ideas and was inspired to do a much better job of managing my online brand. My favorite Dave Saunders quote of the evening "Dare to suck... it's amazing where things will take you!". I am no longer afraid to take chances and I won't suck for long :-)

Chris Lancette+2 guestsThe event began 20 minutes after the stated start time -- the hosts explaining they "always" start late to allow people to arrive. No event should ever start late. The people arriving on time should not have to suffer because others are late. About 30 people arrived on time. Multiply that by 20 minutes apiece, that's 10 hours of time lost. Showing a lack of respect for participants' time is not a good way for Media Mavens to start an event. The presentation itself was solid and I did learn some things.
