Race Details

The Ragnar Relay Series ... PICTURE THIS: You and 11 pals running relay style through 200 miles of stunning scenery in Potomac River Valley. Starting near the town of Cumberland, Maryland, your team will head east through the thick forests of the Appalachian Mountains. Around nightfall you'll run through the quiet streets of many charming historic Civil War-Era towns, ultimately passing within the shadows of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. The race (and your stamina) will wrap up on the shores of the Potomac River at the National Harbor in Washington DC. This is a running event you don’t want to miss. Mark your calendars and get ready to have some fun. http://bit.ly/LjSEAK

Thanks, I saw four or five runners on the MVT/Custis around 5 pm as I was riding back from WABA's 50 States Ride.

    1. Our team name has changed to..... wait for it.... CALL ME MAYBE!!!! If you have a problem with it, take it up with the 9 others that loved it!
    2. It was hard for us to come up with a theme/costumes to match this priceless team name, so, we took the easy way out and everyone is responsible for putting together an outfit(s) that consist entirely of NEON! And tutus! You read correctly, tutus. A craft party may happen in the future for this. Stay tuned.

Group, I know that I've committed but sadly I'm going to have to back out. I've decided to go to Afghanstan....I'm actually here already. I'll be thinking of you guys, though! Good luck and I
hope the team wins the race!

Ok. It's official. We're putting together a Race Team and Cat is the team leader. I'll be participating as a runner (just put down my $100) and coordinating logistics (we need vans, we need lights, etc.).

At present, we've got 9 other people from another group that's interested in doing the Ragnar this September. Unfortunately, I won't be available this evening to host an interest meeting so if you're interested in racing, please contact our Race Captain, Cat Stevens at [masked].

All races are overpriced. But considering that the DC SunTrust Rock 'n' Roll USA Marathon is $175.00 ... then $100/person isn't that bad.
