DCist 1-Year Birthday Party

DCist's 1st Birthday Party September 15

Believe it or not, we here at DCist are fast approaching our one year birthday. Although we began blogging way back in July 2004, our public launch was officially September 7, 2005. Since then we've grown from a staff of five to more than 20, and founding editor Mike Grass departed the site for the Washington Post's Express. In our year we've held a number of happy hours, concerts, and other events.

We'll be celebrating our 1st birthday on Thursday, September 15 at Stetson's. The regular happy hour specials - $2.50 Miller Light and rail drinks - will be in effect until 8 p.m., and after domestics and rail drinks are $3.75. In addition, we'll have free cake for all and perhaps a few surprises. Mark your calendars!
