I hope everyone had a great weekend. The Digital Capital Week in DC started on Friday, June 11, 2010 and will end on June 20, 2010. If you are interested in attending, please view their schedule at or visit the site at

1. Come to ANY DCWEEK event that you want (be sure to register), and bring your laptop, smart phone, pad of paper, camera, or other means to record the happenings.
2. Come to the sign-in desk and get a "I'm a blogger" badge. This will help you get the scoops you need. 3. After any coverage you get (written, video, photos), submit your entry directly to the blog (register here first) to be moderated before going live, or email our Editor-in-Chief Dorothy Johnson directly at [address removed]. She will be your best friend, enemy, mother, father, sister, brother, and (for your official DC Week blog purposes) your go-to to get published. She is awesome, so you should become fast friends.
4. Make sure you post to your own blog and tweet it to your followers. Use hashtag #DCWEEK.
Additional: (For District Bloggers Group: Please send me, the Organizer (Tammy Barbee) or the Assistant Organizer (A. Glenn), an email indicating that you have blogged and attended one of the events so that we can let others know in the group as well as post your blog piece (this will include your name and your blog website) on the District Bloggers website (there will be a section on the site just for Digital Capital Week).

When submitting your entry, make sure you include your name and the permalink to the original posting so you can get attribution. We do not guarantee that your submission will be posted, as it is at the sole discretion of our editor. That said, all entries will be reviewed and if they fit they will get posted.
There are no editorial rules but please keep your posts timely, relevant, and poignant. We are looking for all journalistic angles - coverage of events, trends you see, interviews with all the greats, synopsis, etc. etc. Be creative and have fun.

By submitting stories, videos, and images to, you will be allowing us to use the content on the blog, Facebook Page and Group, Twitter, Flikr, and other relevant avenues to syndicate. We abide by the rules of the net, and will give attribution when we can. If it is content that you do not want shared, do not submit it.
