SPARK: A Burning Man Story

On Tuesday, June 25th, at 7:30pm, at the E Street Cinema, We'll gather to view SPARK: A Burning Man Story, a tour de force of the evolution of Burning Man.

Wear your Playa Best!  This is our chance to show off our Burning Man fashion sensibility to our fair city, the nations capital!

Buy Tickets and more event details

We'll also be having our Monthly Burner dinner/happy hour this evening, at Harry's Pub [masked]th St NW from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm prior to the event for drinks and Dinner. It didn't work for us to go to Bistro D'oc, although that will be our overflow destination if Harry's is too full.

We'll gather at Penn Social at 9:30pm afterwards for Post event Drinks.
Tons of games to play (cornhole, shuffleboard, giant connect four and more!) and plenty of beer. 801 E St NW

Please also RSVP on the Facebook Event, joining the DC Burners group if you haven't already. Or, if you don't want to join the DC Burners group, or want to invite friends who aren't a part of this group, you can invite them via this open facebook event.

Ray Allen, Burning Man's Government Relations & Legal Affairs Manager, and Megan Miller, Burning Man's Public Relations Manager will be joining us. After party location to be announced.

SPARK: A Burning Man Story

Spark is an engaging behind-the-scenes documentary about the dreams and challenges of Burning Man and its unique culture of participatory art. Each year, 60,000 people from around the globe gather in a dusty windswept Nevada desert to build a temporary city, collaborating on large-scale art and partying for a week before burning a giant effigy in a ritual frenzy. Rooted in principles of self-expression, self-reliance and community effort, Burning Man has grown famous for stirring ordinary people to shed their nine-to-five existence and act on their dreams.  SPARK takes us behind the curtain with Burning Man organizers and participants, revealing a year of unprecedented challenges and growth. When ideals of a new world based on freedom and inclusion collide with realities of the “default world,” we wonder which dreams can survive. Yes, thanks to everyone who made this event possible. This is a really professional production that shows BM in a very fair way. Interesting, entertaining, and important. I'm so psyched to get back there!

Tickets sold out a few days ago. I don't know where you can get them second hand, maybe try the local burner lists?
