Thoughtful games with the RGaCG

The Rockville Go and Chess Group meets every Friday night to play intriguing strategy games.  John Goon is the organizer of the Group and you are in good hands with him.  The church is easy to find, but if you have trouble locating the venue (355 Linthicum st, Rockville) give him a call at[masked]-8297.

The location has many tables and chairs and the group members are friendly, and good game teachers.  The event is scheduled for 7 PM to 11 PM.

It is customary to bring some food or drink to share.  A donation box is available for a voluntary 2 dollar donation which goes towards group expenses.

The Group was recently featured in the local newspaper:

Have fun!

Bayard

Additional Info: Our weekly attendance is 18-20 so there will be no lack of players. Seven Wonders is the hit game for now, but we have a load of other board and card games to choose from.  Potomac Blackout is a card game that's been played quite a bit lately. It's social and a lot of fun: http://www.ofb.net/~whuang/ugcs/gp/gcom/blackout.html. We have been meeting since 2001 and it looks like we'll be at the 355 Linthicum St. location in Rockville for a while. Thanks, Bayard, for your outstanding support. -John Goon

Hey John. I'm thinking about attending this Friday's session. Can you tell me how many people you expect, what games will be played, and what, if anything, I should bring? Thanks.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
