The Battle of Wilderness

I've always been interested to learn more about this battle. Especially since part of my family has history there (The Chewning Farm and Plateau). There are several trails from what I've read on the National Park Service website.

Let's plan on meeting at 11 at the temporary visitor center on Saunders Field, tour stop 3, Hill-Ewell Drive. I'll carry a meet-up 'flag' and from there, we can see the tactical and firing demonstration at 11:30, also on Saunders Field. There’s a walking tour from 12-1 at this stop, then we’ll head over to the battlefield for the 1:30 reenactment. I'm looking forward to meeting y'all!

This will be my first meet-up with this group. I'm looking forward to it; I love Civil War battlefields. Do I understand we're meeting at the "shelter" since there's no visitor's center?

I have no information on these trails and have just started reading the history on it. My family is from Spotsylvania, Virginia and we are somehow related to the family that owned the farm in this battle. I just found it interesting and not too far from the DC metro area. This could make a nice Sunday afternoon hike.
