Let's spend a nice spring day in the gardens at the Hillwood Mansion, and also enjoy the art and antiques inside.
Cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post bought Hillwood in 1955 and decided to transform her home into a museum. The estate contains the most comprehensive collection of Russian imperial art outside of Russia, a distinguished 18th-century French decorative art colleciton, and 25 Acres of landscaped gardens and natural woodlands for all to enjoy. Hillwood opened to the public in 1977 under the supervision of a non-profit foundation.
The current exhibition is called "Pageant of the Tsars: The Romanov Coronation Albums".
