Let's spend a nice spring day in the gardens at the Hillwood Mansion, and also enjoy the art and antiques inside.

Cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post bought Hillwood in 1955 and decided to transform her home into a museum.  The estate contains the most comprehensive collection of Russian imperial art outside of Russia, a distinguished 18th-century French decorative art colleciton, and 25 Acres of landscaped gardens and natural woodlands for all to enjoy.  Hillwood opened to the public in 1977 under the supervision of a non-profit foundation.

The current exhibition is called "Pageant of the Tsars: The Romanov Coronation Albums".

Sorry for the late cancellation. I twisted my ankle, and have to go easy on it.

As it turns out, I'm not going to be able to visit Hillwood because of an intervening commitment. I hope to be able to do the walk in the morning. I've paid the fee for Hillwood; I propose that if someone want to bring a guest or is late signing up that that person use the entrance fee that I would have used. I hope everone has a great time, and I'm sorry to miss the event.

I love Russian history ( I went to St. Petersburg last year) so I am looking forward to this. Will meet everyone in the parking lot at 12:15.

Hi, If your name was taken off of the RSVP list, it's because you signed up before the PayPal was installed. Hopefully, you can sign back up. If you have trouble changing your RSVP back to 'Yes', let me know.
