Hello Members!
After a great deal of thought I have come up with a new mission statement. I look forward to these guiding principles leading us towards a new vision for this group.
It is my mission to develop and midwife a community of like-minded individuals who are seeking to explore and share the healing powers of touch. I want to provide the opportunity to give and receive massage and healing touch in safe, respectful and nurturing spaces. I would like the experiences shared by all to lead to greater body self-awareness as well as a more refined ability to tune into the needs of others.
Please be advised that I have one main requirement for membership; which was born to promote security and comfort. To remain or become a member of this group you must post a recognizable head shot for your main profile picture to participate. Many of our MeetUps are in members homes. We need to be able to pick you out of a crowd from your picture on an RSVP list, which are small. No distance pictures and no additional friends or pets. It should go without saying, but we'll say it anyway, that unless you are very furry and actually walk on four legs, an animal picture won't slide by. Also, unless you're Mother Nature, a scenic view won't suffice.
I am promoting an environment of complete degenderization and desexualization. All individuals enter our Meetups on completely equal ground; not man, not woman, not straight, not gay, not bisexual, etc. We are humans giving and receiving the healing power of touch.
We bring a vast knowledge of massage techniques that have been fortified by many venues around the globe. We look forward to sharing all that we know with you as well as learning from each of you.
Over my life time I have had my own transformations and revelations with touch. I understand that negative life experiences that violate trust can lead to a desire to protect so that it may not occur again. I know that breaking down these walls takes courage and time. I want everyone to feel safe and have a healing experience. Everyone who attends our Meetups should feel safe and free. I recommend that if you have any personal limitations on who can apply touch to you or who you prefer to apply touch to, that you try to challenge yourself to move past those barriers. I want people to find freedom from those limitations that keep us from experiencing life more fully. However, if you feel that it is not the time for you to move past those boundaries, then I suggest you find another Meetup group that can cater to your needs. I want everyone to feel comfortable.
I will not be able to entertain requests to touch or not touch a certain gender, a person of a particular race, sexual orientation or the like. I do hope you understand.
I will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior or comments. I reserve the right to ask anyone who threatens to disrupt or compromise the safety of the group to leave any event.
We will have Meetups as north as Baltimore, as west as Leesburg, as east as Lake Arbor and as south as Woodbridge.
We look forward to see you soon!
