Roots on the trails freakin' you out?

    Trails sandy? not so dandy?

See some gravel, start to unravel?

Stinkin' logovers always make you walk your bike?

    Wanna work on basic skills?

    Never ride on dirt?

No real skills to speak of and want a place to start?

Want a friendly and patient environment with like-minded beginners?

These are some of the reasons I've decided to post this ride.  If you're a beginner, this is the place for you to start.  Mountain biking isn't the safest pastime in the world, but this ride will be about as safe as it gets, and in a low-stress environment.  You can feel free to ask any questions you want without being embarrassed.  We'll work on a few basic skills, hopefully with the end result of riding some real trails in a controlled and safe manner.  This will help prepare you for some of the other, more demanding beginner rides that are posted regularly.

We're only meeting at the skills park.  We are NOT riding it...we're gonna ride around it. ^_^

I'll add more details as I come up with them!

Though it was cancelled and it was raining a few of us still toughed it out. It was really a lot of fun! There were a few over-the-bars exploration trips for a few of us and some major malfunctions with a bike for one of us. It was muddy, wet and slippy. Thanks Brian for leading us through the mud and catching me a few times. Thanks Eric and Victor for carrying my bike and making sure I was safe.

Sorry, I'm bailing on this one. It's over an hour drive from here, and it looks like the weather is moving that way, anyway. Hopefully I can catch it next time.
