Seneca Ridge Trail

I am planning on riding the Seneca Ridge Trail Saturday morning. Anyone interested? I have never ridden this trail but since it is an Out-n-Back there should be little chance of getting lost. The trail is 6 miles long (one way), I am a slow rider with a 6-8 mph pace so that should take me 2-3 hours. If we feel like it we could link up to Schaeffer's Whoop-de-do's mid way adding a couple of miles.

The trail description mentions it is an intermediate trail with fast flowy single track, roots, some rocks and some water to cross. Here is a link to trail details and map.

We'd be dropping in from the Riffle Ford Trailhead: 270 to Exit 15B (Rt 118) South toward Germantown. Go approximately 3 miles and turn left on Riffle Ford Rd and continue until you cross Seneca Creek. Trailhead is on your right.

great ride on a beautiful fall morning. this is a really good trail to work on your stamina/endurance without worrying too much about technical/obstacles, but still using some very basic mtn biking skills. Also don't have to worry too much about a map or getting lost.

The wet leaves and roots made a Perfect situation to adjust my tire pressures. Will add this trail to my list of "Do Again trails"

My "favorite" trail, fast flowy, smooth, and the best trail in Montgomery Co. for MTB beginners.

A little slick starting out, but we had a great turnout and a nice mixed group of riders. It turned into a beautiful day, and the SRT is always a fun and challenging out and back trail. A great time overall. Thanks everyone!

I am riding this trail + Seneca Bluffs, and back, but leaving (from the Sioux Lane trail, further east of the trailhead) like at noon or 1 pm. I don't know how long Bluffs is, though. I might not add that one this time.

Yes, I'm in. The SRT is just about my favorite local trail. Might be a little slick following Friday rains, but drains well, so rarely any mud. What time?

Vic, great to hear you are coming and that you know the place! I have never ridden here so it will be good to have someone who knows the way to lead. The plan is to have wheels on the trail by 9:30
