Seneca Bluffs Bridge Build #2

We will be building a 16 foot bridge.

We will drive the pre-cut lumber to within about 100 yards of the bridge site, then dig out the footings and assemble it. Bring sturdy shoes, gloves, hydration and a big snack (that's a lot of lumber!). If you have a favorite hammer feel free to bring that too - we have a lot of nails to drive! :)

Feel free to bring your bike and ride the new trail after the work.

Parking lot is here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/39°05%2727.5%22N+77°20%2739.6%22W

Sorry Christine, I had two events to go to last night and was not online at all, until tonight. Sorry you missed us, but hope you at least enjoyed your time on the trails. As it turned out we had plenty of help, so don't feel like you let anyone down! ;-)

Nobody responded to my 2 posts and I walked the trail for 1 1/2 hours not finding anyone

Christine, sorry to hear you could not find us. The trail is relatively new (as of early this year) so if you didn't know where to cross to the connecting trail leading to the build site, it wasn't so easy. I think we finished and packed up about 2:00ish; was too tired to go riding afterward though.

This trailwork is part of the MoCoEpic Trailwork series and can qualifyyou for big benefits. You’ll be rewarded with a $20 discount coupon to the MoCo Epic ride in October if you actively participate in 3 MORE trail work days more that take place after April 15 on trails that will be utilized in the MoCo Epic. Only one $20 discount can be earned per person and is nontransferable to another person. Trail liaisons are not eligible. Looking for a completely free ride for the MoCo Epic? We can make that happen! Be one of the 3 trail workers with the most amount of total hours logged working designated MoCo Epic trail days throughout the season and we'll give you a comp ride. Only one comp can be earned per person and is nontransferable to another person. There will be plenty of MOCoEpic Trailwork series workdays coming up so you will have plenty of chances to do three work days.
