Intermediate Ride at Patapsco

Where: Patapsco State Park, Avalon Area, via CCBC Catonsville Tennis Court Parking Lot.

Pace: Intermediate/Moderate, approx. 6–8 mph. Appropriate for most average riders (not beginners). This is a recreational ride, no-drop, i.e., we wait up for everyone at intersections. It is not a training ride, so Racer X may be disappointed. Fitness Level 2–3 (see http://www.sacredrides.com/skill-and-fitness-ratings).

Terrain: Intermediate/Moderate to Difficult. Most of the trails are fairly smooth, but there are a few steep climbs, plenty of rocks and technical sections, and a stream crossing or two. Skill Level 5–6 (see http://www.sacredrides.com/skill-and-fitness-ratings).

Distance: Approx. 12–15 miles (not sure of exact route yet, depends on group dynamics and trail conditions).

Duration: Ride time approx. 2 hours; total time approx. 2.5–3 hours; depending on distance, group dynamics, trail conditions and number of breaks (we will take at least one or two short breaks).

Location: Meet at CCBC Catonsville Campus (tennis court parking lot), 800 S. Rolling Road, Catonsville, MD 21228.

Bring: Water, helmet, spare tube/patch kit, multi-tool, I.D. and emergency contact info where it can be easily located on your person.

Weather: Shine Only (no ride if it's raining or the trails are too muddy).

Ride Leader: Peter A, 410–9six7–sixsix83; trekfueler at comcast dot net.

Directions:  +39° 15' 0.56", -76° 44' 9.61"

At CCBC Catonsville entrance, take Campus Drive to the back of the campus, park near tennis courts, look for bikes.

Call/text ride leader if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!
