This group was started to allow a variety of entrepreneurial, technical and non-technical people to get together and learn from each other, discussing ideas relating to business, finance, and tech.

If appropriate, some of the events will have notes or materials posted, and will be located in the "Files" section for the group.

The event location is to be something that doesn't change - or not often - so that people can know that they can just show up. Any location change will be communicated as far out in advance as possible.

Note: Activities of this group include technical and non-technical discussion, and networking and some marketing, yet it is not a group for network marketing (MLM). Members will be removed for activities around presenting a business or product that conflicts with the spirit of the group, including posting off-topic content or links (other than on members' own profiles). Examples include sharing with group members at events, via group-related posts or email, or intending to share or recruit for the type of business opportunity or services that involve signing up people to get a cut of a sign-up fee and/or other fees and sales. (There is a definition of some of this in Ebay's page about how this type program & product are not permitted listings). Aggressive sales or marketing is not in line with the group. Similar tactics or organized sales presentations need to be agreed in advance by the organizers. Be respectful of what this group is all about: networking and sharing from each other in an open and unpressured manner. There are other groups designed for making network marketing pitches - however, this group is not that type of group; this group is organized for pitch-free gatherings, exchanges of information, tips, and contacts.

The group is mostly open to co-hosted events or other related types of events, as the membership is one that is interested in networking and entrepreneurship.
