Photography Assignment #3, due 30 January 2007
The subject of this abstract assignment is "winter". What does winter mean to you? Black and white scenes? Black overcoats all around? Cold rain? The bread, milk, and toilet paper frenzy at the grocery store before a snowstorm? The interpretation is open-ended and left up to you, the photographer.
---------------
How it Works:
There will be two "assignments" a month, one abstract and one concrete, posted to the calendar on their "due dates". Anyone who wishes to participate is encouraged to RSVP "Yes" to the event notice.
Submit your photos by the due date to the appropriate album in our group's photo page.
If you'd like comments and feedback on your submissions, reply to the event announcement in the message board with a link to your flickr site (it has the best comment facilities), or equivalent. Members who participate in the assignment are encouraged to comment on each others' submissions.
Photographers of all skill levels are welcome.
Note: There is no physical meeting associated with this event/assignment. If you'd like to bring your work to share in person, the monthly meeting (second Wednesdays each month) is a good venue for sharing.
General Guidelines:
Use the assignment as motivation to take new photos. In other words, try not to submit photos over a month old, even if they happen to fit the theme of the assignment.
Choose your best one to three photos to post.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. Good luck and have fun on the assignment!
