Spring is here and the Cherry Blossoms are expected to make their appearance soon. The National Park Service predicts the peak bloom to be on April 4, or at least sometime between April 1 and April 7.

We will be meeting in the early morning to enjoy best light for our photos and hopefully a few less people in the crowds. Meet at the Tidal Basin paddle boat dock at 7:30 am.

If you are taking Metro, the Orange/Blue line will take you to Smithsonian Station. Use the Independence Ave. exit. Once above ground, walk along Independence Ave toward the Washington Monument. Once you reach 15th St, SW, make a left and follow for three or four blocks toward the Jefferson Memorial until you arrive at the Tidal Basin.

I know this is pretty early in the morning, but we'll probably be out there until 10 or 11am, so if you want/need to show up a little later, that should be fine. I will send out my cell phone number to whoever RSVPs Yes or Maybe and you are welcome to come find and meet up with us.
