RE: [DCPython] An auxiliary python meetup?

There were some great talks at PyCon. I’d be happy to M.C. a meeting where we show selected presentations from PyCon and discuss, if someone can volunteer a space and we can agree on a time. Actually, since the first Tuesday in April is not committed, that could be a suitable date as well.

And I'm not necessarily against a weekend thing;  In fact, the parking under our building may be free-to-public on weekends (I gave up my car a couple years ago so I'll have to reinvestigate that.)  And yeah, when that hands on thing came up on my radar I was geared to go... and promptly got the flu.  I did miss out on the sprint sessions at PyCon, so mayhap there's something to the idea.  A brief presentation followed by something.  My offer is a reliable space to meet (albeit potentially stuffy during the summer) and my desire is to have something I can attend regularly.  =)

I loved the hands-on session in January. Maybe the supplemental meetup could be a chance for more things like that?

Personally, I'd be better able to attend weekend meetups, but more hands on sessions might inspire me to get creative with my calendar, even if it's on a weekday. :)
