DCRug Hack Night

Let's meet up and hack together!

We'll go from 7 until 9 or 10, depending on how late people want to go.

Someone mentioned wanting to TDD a problem together as part of a group, I imagine that will happen to some degree! This is a great time to come out and work on open source or your own project alongside other people from the community who are more than happy to help you through a tough patch or commiserate over just how annoying it is to deal with that SQL or third-party API or whatever :)

Of course there's no requirement to share, you're more than welcome to come, hang out, and hack with fellow rubyists!

This meetup is welcoming to beginners and experts alike.

Hello! I'm a Python sysadmin/networking guy looking to get my feet wet in Ruby. Is this venue (Hack night specifically) a good place for a beginner like me? I'm looking to talk to other Ruby developers in the field and get a better sense of best practices, books to read, and gems to look out for. Thanks in advance!

I may bring a friend or two, we have a funny problem calling a javascript function and a few development questions around DataTables. Is there a separate room in case someone needed to do their thing and not bother everyone else?

Helping Sean find a separate room will increase the confidence interval of public safety amongst the population data...I mean people attending

I'd be surprised if you bothered anyone in the main area, it's mostly people in small groups. If you need to though yeah we do have a few conference rooms here you could use :)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
