Where better for scuba divers to meet in the city than in a bar that makes it look like you are at the bottom of a pool!?
I will have a slide deck and information on the following trips at this event:
- Belize Aggressor Liveaboard (July 28 - August 3)
- **Bonaire Buddy Dive (**Sept 14 - Sept 21)
- I also will have information on the Grenada Trip, and am still taking input onto dates.
I will also have information on exciting new benefits for a new level of membership in the club.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and chatting about diving, catching up with old friends and new, & enjoying some food and beverages.
Royal Sands Social Club is a Beach/Pool Bar near the Navy Yard and across the street from Nationals Park. It is designed to look like a swimming pool and boasts 14,000 sq ft across 2 levels with 3 bars. This really will be an indoor pool party.
The bar has reserved space for us and has committed to giving us individual checks.
As returning VIP Guests, the Royal Sands has offered us the following food and beverage specials:
- $6 Modelo and Kona drafts
- $9.5 Miami Dreams and Las Olas cocktails
- $6 Coconut Kamikaze
- $9 Wings
- $9 Pineapple Guacamole
- $12 Ahi Tuna Nachos
Please note: Royal Sands does not accept cash. Please bring a credit card or some form of electronic payment.
Getting There:
Royal Sands is accessible via the Metro. I would recommend taking the Green line to the Navy Yard Station. It will be about a 7 minute walk to the Royal Sands, which is right across N St. SE from Nationals Park. The Nationals site also says you can get there from the Capitol South Metro station for about a 15 minute walk, but it looks like you will have to cross a few major roads in that walk.Below are some links to a couple of articles on the place:
