This meet-up is for professional black women in the DC metropolitan area to socialize and network. We are members of an active networking group for black women, DC Sistagirls. Also, consider joining our yahoogroup (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dc_sistagirls/

Ambition requires that we work hard to attain our goals. Networking is a part of that work. But... that doesn't mean that it can't be fun. We are committing to getting together monthly to have some "girl-time". Gather with women in your local area who share the same goals and interests as you.
Consider joining this meet-up and the correlating yahoo email group to see what we're up to and what activities are planned -- dining out, movies, dancing, drinks or just out having a ball. The possibilities are endless...
We are not the typical networking group. Our events are centered around fun activities and are very very casual. Many/most of us communicate through the yahoogroup... And we focus on getting to know each other as friends primarily.
