Another day ride around Mt. Weather

Another Day ride. Ill be at Buzz Coffee in Alexandria around 845am, We will be leaving there 930am sharp to head north to great falls to Katies Coffee shop for a quick pit stop. From there a short run on 7 to back roads, around mt. weather to a lunch spot recently reccomended by Bev on the meetup group. Then back down into Clifton and up into Alexandria. Figure home by 5pm! Will be a good day out. All scoots must be able to sustain 45+MPH and be able to go over 50mph, but most of the ride will be comfortable around 40mph.

Great company and great roads. This was my longest ride yet. It was helpful watching the better riders choose and hold their line through the corners. And the time at higher speeds helped build my confidence. At 1500 miles, Mio Dolce seems to be smoothing out and gaining some power.

I had a blast, Kevin, thanks for organizing.

Wow..... 182 Mile day... one flat tire, one troublesome P200... and a Zuma 125 off the road (glad your safe buddy) overall, a great day of riding... photos will be posted later. Thanks for everyone who showed up today!

This was an awesome ride; plus the couple detours was nice too. Thanks for planning and leading this. I look forward to future rides.

Hey last minute change.... I do not know why I waited till last minute, but I am dropping hunters head as our lunch spot. I just checked their menu & for a large group grabbing a quick bite, not a good spot, bit on the expensive nicer side. Meals around $15 (yikes) so I am going to just look for a local pizza place ok?

I've been fighting bronchitis all week, but the last two day's it's been dying! Just in time for the ride, should be awesome!

Ok, some last minute notes for this ride! Make sure your scoot is relibale! Have a back up plan of "phone a friend" if you break down or think you might? Top off your gas before showing up at the meet up point, easier for everyone :-)

Check your tire pressure and oil level (we have had rides were a rider was on the rim almost because the tires were so low)

Just want everyone to have a safe ride tomorrow, its going to be a really good day of riding!

Werll its going to be pretty epic anyway, 10 riders last night, thats about as big as its safe to have a group ride. I do not want to lead and be responsible for 20... haha... everyone has different riding skills. Should be a good day out!

I'll post the info on ModernBuddy. There are maybe 2 other riders from the area that I know of on there, but lots of lurkers. I hope this one is pretty epic! Are we going to Apple House in Linden for lunch? Or is it a surprise?

I posted on wmasa, lots of views, no comments, so we shall see. I did not post in Total Ruckus because this ride is definitely not 50cc friendly. Bikes need to be able to hit 50mph+ so that they can stay speed limit on the hills at points.

any other's coming along from WMasa or total ruckus?

Thanks for the warning, I dont really remember the tracks from when we rode this route back in May, but we were going the opposite direction across them. Ill remember to slow down!

Linda and I stopped at Buzz Bakery for lunch today. It's a good spot to meet.

Yeah, I have typically only half organized rides in the past. I am having a blast putting these rides together this year. I ride with a few different groups. I take out the motorcycle, of course my Big Ruckus/Vespa with the Wmasa crew and you guys, and I organize rides for the 50cc crowd via total ruckus. It has been a busy riding season for me and I am loving it :-D Thank god for GPS and terrain view online, finding all sorts of good roads!

working on a shift trade, so far so good. I'll have to be back to work around 6:30pm, shouldn't be a problem. Kev, you're doing an awesome job organizing, so this should be epic. I saw previous posts on Total Ruckus and Wmasa, good work.
