Sandy spoiled our plans. Let's not invite her to the next ride.

Ride was scrubbed, but Ethan joined me for a nice chat at Northside.
Nce hanging out with Don as always. At least I got to get on the bike for some errands!
I'm here and will lead a shortened version if any one shows up. Overcast but still dry at 9:35.
rain and moderate winds starting around 10am...:(
This was a terrific route. I hope Sandy will let us run it tomorrow. If we are able to run it, it will be kickstands up at 10 am. Arrive gassed up with air in your tires. Come early if you want coffee or something to eat.The line for food and coffee can take 15-20 minutes.

Any ideas or suggestions of routes and a time frame you would like?

Stephen, I'd be nervous about sending you home into a rainstorm Saturday afternoon, but I'll be at Northside ready to ride at 10 am if you want to join me.
Staying in the Arlington / Fairfax area so we can get home quickly if we need to. I'm going to run this on Saturday, just because I need to ride. I'll do it again on Sunday if the weather holds. It is about an hour of 25-45 mph twisty local roads, no highways. After a stop at Katie's we can decide if we want to ride more. If we go on direct local roads, it's only about 30 minutes back. Here's a link to Google maps of the route I'll take going out.http://goo.gl/maps/P3Vfg
Can't make it Saturday, and it sure does look bad Sunday. I'm going to un rsvp. Maybe we'll have a long "Native American Summer" and we can squeeze in a ride after Sandy.
I think I'll sit this one out guys. The forecast is looking pretty glum. I'll join you on the next ride!

Today's forecast for Sunday is 30% chance of rain. I'll keepan eye on this. Wet leaves are not fun.

Sounds fun. I'll be working the Marine Corp Marathon. Lots of early road closures near the river and downtown, so plan ahead and expect possible delays.

I propose a trip to a small town nearby such as Occoquan, Culpeper or Orange, VA. I think we can find plenty of neat restaurant for brunch.
Anyone have a route in mind?
I am available all day Sunday untill 5pm. If we are back by then, then great!!! We could do like a 10am ride and be back at 4pm or 5pm :-)
Got plans Saturday, but Sunday sounds great!
Am riding up to Darlington MD early Saturday to drop a zombie off at the Run For Your Life 5K. Will be staying until mid-pm sometime.
am good for an early Sunday ride.
