NOVAL DC Empowerment Seminar

NOVAL-DC (National Organization of Vietnamese American Leaders) will be having its first empowerment seminar. Looks really interesting.

We are passionate about unlocking potential and showcasing the brilliance of the people in our community. Our First Empowerment Seminar:

"Advancing the American Success Story: A Discussion for Continuing Education".

The following topics will be covered in this seminar:

- Historic and cultural context in which Vietnamese Americans settled in the United States

- The education and professional challenges faced in the community.

- A guide to getting into graduate school and why it benefits your career and community.

About Our Empowerment Speaker:

Quoc Nguyen holds a Master of Education from Johns Hopkins University and a second Master of International Affairs from George Washington University. He attended the University of Kentucky for his Bachelor in History and Communications. He has also studied abroad in France, Japan, Turkey, and Israel. Quoc is a continuing student at Alliance Francaise where he hopes to improve his French fluency. He is currently an education consultant at iED, International Education and Development, llc.
