The birth and initiation of this group regrettably happened in response to a catastrophe of such proportions of which we will never fully recover. Which was once already a tough balancing act of our marshes and bayous’ and the wildlife they cradle is now one of the worst ecological disasters mankind has ever been guilty of. Our pristine wildlife is in danger and it is up to us to help the helpless. This group was created to rally the masses together and protect what we can, to be one voice as advocates and ambassadors of the natural world, to one day show future generations that one person does make a difference.
We have begun to open a non-profit organization, which will work in tandem as a bank account for this group of which we have already been collecting donations. As part owner of a staffing agency in New Orleans we will have logistical support and paid for manpower at our disposal.
Our first priority is to train all members of this group to be HAZMAT certified which is a 4-5 hour course necessary to volunteer free of charge. I will be updating this site regularly with news and for now here is what each individual will need who wants to help:
18 Plastic bags, 3 bags for each foot, 5 rubber bands, duct tape, gloves, paper towels, a one gallon plastic pot, which fits a bag with rubber band and one kitty litter scoop w/ flat blade. This list is sure to grow.
