The meeting will center around moving forward. Progressives and Democrats in North Carolina have a lot of challenges in the current political climate in North Carolina, but they are eager to take that fight head on.  Join them for a discussion with Erv Portman, Keith Karlsson, Jim Messina and Sig Hutchinson, a group of strong candidates who would have won in Wake County in almost any other election year.  We will discuss how to stand up and be heard and make a change in Wake County."For more info contact Tristy Evely, President, Wake Progressive Democrats at [masked] or [masked].

Great meeting with lots of ideas for consideration and thought. Nice to see a good turnout and friendly new faces. Look forward to refining and implementing current strategies and new ideas into the 2014 elections. I would like to thank all who attended. Each person in this group is important to our operation as whole. Hope to see everyone at the next meeting.

I thought the discussion was good and it was consistent with what was advertised, which was to have a panel discuss what lessons were learned from the last election and how can we do better in the future. Thus, I wasn't expecting a policy discussion on the latest issues. If we want to advance progressive policies we need to engage in the tactics and strategy that are going to put us back in office, not just discuss the latest issues.

Guess I didn't miss much but the hat being passed around. I would really appreciate being kept in the loop . I'm am a born & bred optimist & believe there are enough thinkers in this group to elevate the discussion. Maybe next time - if I someone gives me hint as to the location. Cheers

i thought it was dull, yet polite, lacking, yet warm, it should have been more of an open discussion about the latest issues of the day gun control, the economy etc, but instead it was just money rasing.

I have noticed over time that those who are liberal or progressive then to be unorganized. I wish we could come up with a mission and to do list.
