Happy New Year

At our core, members of the Wake County Progressive Democrats are dedicated to advancing the Progressive cause. We have long-time members like Jesse Goslen who works within the Democratic Party as chair of the 13th district to advocate and guide the North Carolina Democratic.  We have Linda Suggs, who has her finger on the pulse of what is going on at the General Assembly and with organizations across the state.  And one of "newerish" members Joshua Bradley who recently joined the board as policy chair is heavily involved in Occupy Raleigh, an organization that is demanding to be heard by our government.  And there are many others. The Wake County Progressive Democrats need to build on those strengthens and alliances in the coming year to rebuild ourselves and show that there is a strong, unified, progressive voice in Wake County.

As we watch in horror, the shape NC government in Raleigh is taking, we are on the frontline to push back and not let them Art Pope and Pat McCrory destroy the most Progressive state in the South.

We are busy people, but I hope you will join us at our monthly potluck to have a conversation about who Wake Progressives are and who we want to be in 2013.  This will also include officer nominations.  It will be held Wednesday, January 16 at 6:30pm at North Carolina Democratic Party Headquarters, 220 Hillsborough, Raleigh.
Bring your energy, anger, enthusiasm, ideas and food or drink to share (More vegetarian dishes and alcoholic beverages have been requested.)

See you there,
Tristy Evely

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
