Mike,

I'll check out D&B.

Piccadilly works for for the CCDC because it's Saturday Breakfast. no regular clientele so they have the whole restaurant to themselves. For us, we would have to book the small room. Good enough for most of our meetings but not good when we have over 20 and need to help candidates put together things.

I'll let everyone know what I find with D&B.

Thanks,

I like the general location; that area of Cobb Parkway might be good for
people for the reasons you outlined, mainly being against traffic, and it's
not that far from the previous location on Delk. ?My only hesitation about
the Jade Palace is that it's gotten a lot of bad reviews on Google. ?Have
you considered Dave & Buster's? ?It's on Delk, has meeting areas and the
menu's good. ?I'm also told the Cobb County Democrats meet at the Piccadilly
at 536 Cobb Parkway SE in Marietta, and if it's big enough for them then it
might serve our purposes. ?Just puttin' that out there.

Michael,

We've been sharing slots with the ECDA for the last year or so and average
between 15 and 30. During the June meeting, we were separate and had around
20 including several candidates that we were helping.

I was thinking of the back room of the Jade Palace. It's large, food is okay
and service is quick since it's self-serve. The location is on Cobb Parkway
just outside the perimeter. For those coming south on 75 in the evening, it
will be against traffic. Those east or south of 75 can take surface roads
and will be against traffic as well.

What do you think?

? ? ? ?Sojourn,

? ? ? ?Since the meetup is for all of Cobb County and not just North Cobb
or East
? ? ? ?Cobb, centrally located is a good idea. Also, being near the freeway
is good

? ? ? ?I worry about getting too far North and West because people would
have to
? ? ? ?fight 75 traffic to get there in the middle of the week.

? ? ? ?I guess what I'm saying is that Barrett would be better than
Chastain and
? ? ? ?South and West of 75 would be better than North and East.

? ? ? ?Let me know what you can find for a private room on the first
Thursday of
? ? ? ?each month for between 15 and 30 people. The cost has to be free so
we pay
? ? ? ?with ordering dinner and tips.

? ? ? ?Looking for other input from the 100+ members on this mail list.
