The focus of this month's meeting will be a discussion about the first book in our new book club, Astrology and the Authentic Self by Demetra George.
Full Description
Demetra George is coming to town in November to give a talk for ROMA in Boulder. Her lecture and subsequent workshop will be based on her recent book titled Astrology and the Authentic Self. This is an excellent opportunity for our members to attend a lecture by one of the leading astrologers in the field at the present time, and everyone is urged to attend the lecture if they can make it.
With Demetra coming to town next month and giving her evening lecture a few days after our scheduled meeting, it seems fitting to make hers the first book in our book club.
So, here is the deal: everyone should acquire a copy of the book and read it by the time of our meeting on November 14th. At our meeting we will discuss the book, and everyone will have a chance to express their thoughts on it. Then we will all be able to attend the ROMA meeting later in the week, and if there are any lingering questions about the book then we should be able to get them answered by the author herself. Since there is about a month until our meeting, there is plenty of time for everyone to order the book and read it by then.
The book can be ordered through online retailers such as Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com...
If you are ordering through online retailers then I urge you to do so soon, because sometimes they can take a few weeks before they get the book to you.
The book may be available at some local book stores here in Colorado, although I'm not sure which ones carry it at this point. If anyone notices it somewhere then please let me know.
If you would like more information about the book itself then you can read a review that I wrote for it last year on my blog:

There is no charge for this month's meeting, although donations of 3 to 5 dollars are appreciated, as they help me to cover the $20 a month fee for hosting this page on Meetup.com. Any additional money collected goes towards future speakers.
