This month's meeting will feature two 45-minute lectures on relationships by local astrologers VerDarLuz and Stephanie Soibelman.
Karmic Relationships: The 8th House, The Lunar Nodes, and Juno
Many astrologers work with Venus and the 7th house to understand a client's relationship intent. Yet, there are many other astrological symbols that reflect the depth and transformational potential of our relationships. In this workshop, we explore the concept of Karmic relationships: those signatures which catalyze the soul into catharsis, healing, and evolution. We will focus on the synastry of two charts through the significance of the psychologal intensity and sexual intimacy of the 8th House, the evolutionary necessity of the Nodes, and the soul-contracts of asteroid Juno.
The Astrology of Divorce
We have all heard that approximately 50% of married couples will terminate in divorce. Using these statistics, we astrologers need to have a clear understanding that numerous clients may face divorce. Which planetary influences show the most strength and influence with the context of the planetary transits and progressions? Using genuine cases, Stephanie will display which astrological triggers were present at the time of divorce.

She merges Classical, Evolutionary, and Modern Astrological techniques into her predictive work. The majority of her astrological practice consists of the use of Horary in her natal, electional, and medical work. She is about to begin a research study on health and illness combining Evolutionary techniques and theory with the Classical astrological rulerships.
Length of the Meeting
The meeting will start at 3:00 PM, and the first lecture will last until about 3:45, with a few minutes for questions afterward. The second lecture will begin at 4:00 PM, and will last until 4:45, with time for questions and answers after it is over. After that people are free to hang out and socialize in the cafe.
Note that the Mercury Cafe also serves brunch earlier in the day, so if anyone wants to come by early, around 1:00 PM or so, there will probably be some other astrologers there having lunch.
The fee for attending the meeting is $10.
If you can find a spot to park on the street then it is free, although there is a two hour limit on some spots. We recommend using the parking lot right across from the Mercury Cafe on the other side of California Street, which only charges $1 for parking on weekends.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!
