This month's meeting will feature a lecture by Boulder-based astrologer Anand Vadehra on the topic of full-phase aspects. You can read his lecture description and bio below:
The Powerful Yet Mostly Untapped Truth About Our Use Of Aspects In Astrology
Normally, as presented by most astrologers, a square is a square is a square. But, is it? The reality is that a waxing square is quite different from a waning square. The same can be said, of course, of other aspects. When most of us find meaning in an aspect, we are really speaking to the waxing version. This is limiting and can be flat out incorrect if its a waning aspect. Learning and incorporating both waxing and waning phases, i.e. "full-phase" aspects, is a painless and necessary game-changer for accurate chart synthesis. Please join us for an exploration of the aspects that will leave you looking at your charts in a new light and wondering why this approach isn't common practice.
Anand Vadehra is a practicing astrologer living and working in Boulder, CO. A trained research scientist, Anand has always been deeply interested in understanding energy transformation and exchange, within and between individuals. It turns out that Astrology, a divine tool that can be used to understand a great many things in our phenomenological world, is exactly what he needed to explore and share this passion with others in a way that most resonated with his life purpose. He is blessed to live the life of his dreams both consulting and teaching Astrology not only as a tool for our collective enlightenment but, ultimately, for our spiritual reconnection to both self and others. Length of the Meeting
The meeting will start at 3:00 PM, and the lecture will go until about 4:30, with time for Q & A session after it is over. After that people are free to hang out and socialize in the cafe.
Note that the Mercury Cafe also serves brunch earlier in the day, so if anyone wants to come by early, around 1:00 PM or so, there will probably be some other astrologers there having lunch.
The fee for attending the lecture is $5.
If you can find a spot to park on the street then it is free, although there is a two hour limit on some spots. We recommend using the parking lot right across from the Mercury Cafe on the other side of California Street, which only charges $1 for parking on weekends.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting!
