The Astrology of the Planets: Jupiter

This meeting will be a continuation of the series that we started in February where we hold a roundtable discussion that focuses on the astrological meaning of each of the planets. For about a year or so we will focus on one planet at each meeting, and discuss what that planet means in an astrological context, as well as how it can be used in different techniques that are specifically geared towards that planet. During this month's meeting we will focus on the planet Jupiter.

Some topics that we will discuss at this month's meeting include:

  • The significations of Jupiter in an astrological context according to both ancient and modern sources
  • Jupiter as one of the two traditional benefic planets
  • Jupiter in day charts versus night charts.
  • Jupiter when configured to other planets.

The meeting should be suitable for both beginner and advanced students of astrology. If you are a more experienced astrologer then please come share your own perspective on the astrological meaning of Jupiter with the group. If you have found an astrological description of Jupiter that you think is particularly insightful then please bring an excerpt to share with the group.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend, since we will be making some handouts, and it would be good to know how many we need to bring.

Meeting Fee

There is no fee for the meeting, although donations of 3 to 5 dollars are appreciated, as they help to cover the fee for hosting our page on Meetup.com. Any additional money collected will go towards hosting future speakers.

The attendees were obviously serious astrologers; however, they were difficult to hear because they didn't speak loudly enough and the environment was very noisy.

Very expansive! A lot of interesting jewels of interest.
