Last month we had a presentation on the original doctrine of aspects in western astrology. The goal of many of the distinctions that we discussed was to provide more nuanced and specific chart interpretations, by understanding precisely how particular factors in a chart influence each other.

Since we covered quite a bit of material in last month's talk, this month we thought it would be useful to ground these concepts in some practical chart work. So this month everyone is invited to bring in their own chart in order to practice applying some of the concepts discussed during last month's meeting in a group work session. We will practice using these techniques and concepts to make interpretive statements about various areas of life. We are primarily going to focus on the concepts of :

• Sect
  
• Superior vs. inferior configurations
  
• Being "upon the tenth"
  
• Counteraction
  

If you are planning on attending, please bring a printed copy of your chart with you to the meeting. We would recommend casting the chart using whole sign houses. Attendees will be encouraged, although not required, to share their life experiences as they relate to their own natal charts, that way we can all learn something about how these techniques and concepts actually work out in practice.

Meeting Fee

There is no fee for the meeting, although donations of 3 to 5 dollars are appreciated, as they help to cover the $20 a month fee for hosting this page on Meetup.com. Any additional money collected will go towards hosting future speakers. If you plan on attending please RSVP, that way we know how many handouts to bring.
