Dan Barker @ Metro State

  • Sep 24, 2010 · 6:00 PM

Hello all, It was brought to my attention that Dan Barker is coming to Metropolitan State College (Auraria campus downtown) on Friday, September 24 (Thanks Michael!). He'll be at the Tivoli, room 320 (Baerresen Ballroom). The event is free and begins at 6:00pm. Ironically, "Women of Faith" will be going on across the street at the Pepsi Center. Maybe we should crash it or hand out Atheist flyersbiggrin...just kidding. Besides the irony of the two events going on in such close proximity, I mention it for parking purposes...just as an FYI.

Here's the link for the Dan Barker event:

This is not an official meetup for the group, but if you are going to attend, please RSVP yes so everyone else knows they aren't the only ones going.

I got his autograph, which I'm pretty excited about :) It's unfortunate he talked too much about his story and not about atheism in general...

Glad I came! Dan is very mindful and gentle with his words but still powerful; love how he can appeal to all sorts of people!

Dan Barker is a charming, humble man who suffered greatly to reach his present mindset as an atheist. His experience is of great value to all who listen to him. Regrettably, I had to leave a bit early so did not get to hear his entire presentation, but my exposure to his wisdom and humor was most beneficial.

It was great being able to meet a prominent Atheist and hear his story! Going out for drinks and pizza afterword was fun too.
