MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition at the Denver Museum

Picture of MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition (Daytime)

Can you really huff and puff and blow a house down? Can you swing from a suspended phone book?  Don’t try this at home, try it this fall at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, where you will become  the MythBuster and test out these theories and bust or confirm others at MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition!  Try a dozen hands-on experiments that will get your heart and mind racing, watch live MythBusting demonstrations,  and explore authentic props and gadgets direct from the MythBusters set. Put your scientific curiosity into action at  MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition

We will be meeting at the museum at 11am and our Mythbuster tour will begin at 11:45am. I have set a reservation for 20 people but this number can be changed. I'm setting the reservation limit for this event to 20 but if we have people who are really interested in going and the spots are full please let me know. Children are welcome!

If we have a group of at least 10 the museum will give us group ticketing prices:

Adults: $21

Seniors 65+: $15

Children 3-18: $14

**The tricky part of this is to get the group pricing we would need to pay together so, I'm asking that we bring cash to purchase tickets at the door. **

If you are a member of the Denver Museum I advise that you purchase your tickets online- as they are considerably cheaper. If you go this route please make sure you get tickets for the January 4th 11:45am tour so you can be with the group! Also, please don't RSVP to this event so we can keep spots open for non-museum members to get the group pricing. But please let us know you're going so we can meet you there!

If you want to come but want to purchase your tickets in advance or if you are not sure if you can make it and decide to come last minute here are the regular ticket pricing

Adults: $22

Seniors 65+: $18

Children 3-18: $16

The museum has free parking. The cost of admission to the exhibit includes admission to the museum. If you would like to stay at the museum following the exhibit you may. I am hoping to be able to gather somewhere following the exhibit for lunch or drinks and am open to suggestions.

I would have liked to see the original Mythbusters. Yes! And some rockets and explosions. Short of that, it was still great.

I'm sorry to here that. I enjoyed talking to you, I know it was hard to keep up conversations once we were in the exhibit. I hope you'll give us another shot.

I'm terribly sorry but I have thrown my back out and cannot move. I literally cannot stand up. I am cancelling.

Ok, so I've opened the limit to 30. I've checked the exhibit ticket count and they have plenty of spots left. I'll make sure they reserve the extra ten I just added for us.

Would have loved to have gone but I have a prior musical engagement. Don't give up on me. I really like this group! :)

I was in Denver on Thursday and went to this exhibit on my own. It seemed rather geared to a young-adult age-group, but I did learn two things I didn't know before. And the rest of the museum is worth the trip: from my perspective, the butterfly exhibit, the bears, and the gems and minerals.

Note: if you have sensitive hearing, bring your earplugs -- there are lots of things for kids to shriek about :-)
