Coffee and Community (Pancake Breakfast Edition)

If you've ever wanted a reason to go to the Hub to learn more info about it this is the best opportunity. Please keep in mind that Coffee and Community at the Hub is normally free and open to the public. For this Pancake Edition they are asking for a small fee- usually $5-$10.

This Sunday, the Hub's Community Service Committee will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, meat, and juice will be served. We're even upping the ante with some waffles. All are welcome to come and participate in C&C as usual. But the breakfast will be offered for a nominal fee. Donations are also welcomed. Proceeds will support the Hub's service and altruism efforts.

See the 'Altruism' page on the Hub website for more on the Hub's community service activities as well as different ways you can get involved:

Look, we know you don't have to get up and go to church on Sunday morning, but after sleeping in some, you can make your way over to the Secular Hub to hang out and talk with like minded friends.

The Hub will be open every Sunday from 10-1:00, and sometimes we'll have more of an agenda than other times. On some weekends, we may have a pancake breakfast with donations used to bolster the community or a particular project; sometimes we'll meet up and go to participate in some community service event. As a community center, the Hub is open to the ideas of our members on how to move forward. Details will be added for particular dates as projects come together.

This is a recurring weekly event, subject to other secular events that require the Secular Hub space. We'll make sure to update the meetup each week with any projects or changes and notify when they are cancelled.

Note: Coffee and Community is free and open to the public. A key benefit of the Secular Hub is the physical meeting space it provides free-of-charge to local secular groups. To help pay the bills, the Hub collects membership dues and limits some activities to dues-paying members as a perk. If you are not yet a member of the Hub, please feel free to stop in for an 'open' event, enjoy the company of your fellow heathens, and see what the Hub is about. If you like what you see, help support the local secular community and gain access to further secular events/opportunities by becoming a member. You can sign up in person or online at

Damn nature! Lovely sunny days for the past few days and now today rainy and cold? dammit! lol I was looking forward to getting out and riding the bus for this, but not so much on a cold rainy day. Maybe I'll make it next month.

I'm sorry, but I can't abide the mingling of pancakes and waffles at the same event. It's dangerous and unnatural. Like left handed people.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
