As most of you know, the Denver Atheist Meetup (D.A.M.) recently crossed the 1,000 member mark! (1043 as of 08/10). The atheist community in Denver and throughout the country is growing. This is a great reason to have a celebration! So we've reserved the 2nd floor of Brooklyn's (Pepsi Center parking lot) for Friday, August 24th from 7pm - whenever.
In addition to celebrating our continued growth, we'll also have a handful of heathens give us a brief update on Denver's amazing atheist community, events, and organizations including the AAA Convention (Labor Day weekend), Atheists for Humanity, Secular Hub, Freethought Exchange (atheists having dialogs in churches with believers), the Denver Atheist Meetup and more. There's an amazing amount of secular activity in Denver. Yet another great reason to throw a party!
Most of you joined the D.A.M. to meet "like-minded" people and to be part of a secular community. Here's your chance!! Come drink, dine, listen and learn, and chat with your fellow heathens. Join us as we celebrate life, tasty libations, good people, summer, and good old-fashioned atheism!
***Please RSVP so we can give Brooklyn's an accurate headcount to make sure we have enough servers to handle our thirst and appetites!***
Parking: Parking should be free in Pepsi Center Lot A (south of Brooklyn's off Chopper Circle). If there happens to be an attendant just tell them you're attending a talk a Brooklyn's.
Food and drink: Brooklyn's has a cash bar and a full menu (pub fare).
