I was always an outsider, especially in my own family. Religious adherence was a measuring stick for "goodness." I noticed that the nastiest people were the most religious. That perplexed me until I realize that they had no real moral compass. If it were not for the threat of eternal hellfire, they would be causing mayhem from East to West. Thus, I'm not entirely against religion. If it keeps some people out of trouble, leave them alone.
Camaraderie and knowledge.
Occasional baked goodies.
I was a bad Catholic & even worse New Ager. Incense makes me sneeze.
I had fun getting to know everyone. It was a beautiful day at the fairgrounds. I look forward to volunteering again with the group.
