On March 18th, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. the Masonic Philosophical Society will be hosting a study group at the Englewood Library. Each month a different topic, ranging from philosophy and science to religion and metaphysics, is discussed and debated. Please arrive at 6:15 P.M. so the discussion can begin promptly at 6:30 P.M.
March’s topic will be conducted by Brother Katie Cumsille on Freemasonry and Chemistry: Is God a chemical reaction? After a short lecture a discussion and debate by the group will follow.
Experience is the hardest truth of all. There is a difficulty in explaining what cannot necessarily be repeated. This has been the case for individuals who have claimed visions and “seen” god. Are they telling the truth? Are they lying? Or are the visions and encounters Chemistry? Is God a spiritual experience or a biochemical one? Join Brother Cumsille as she leads us on an exploration of the human mind, chemistry, and man’s desire to know God.
Join us for this month's study group.
This group, which is open to the public, is where non-members can learn more about Freemasonry, as well as meet local Freemasons.
