Spiritualism is a religious movement that first emerged in the 1850’s among radical Quakers who believed in the existence of one’s personal identity after the death of the physical body; evidenced by communication with the so-called dead.  Those Quakers migrated west spreading their new religion across the country.  In part I of the History of Spiritualism we’ll explore the concepts espoused by Spiritualists and their applications to today’s hectic world.
