The Denver Search Engine Optimization Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

  • Jul 31, 2013 · 5:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

We have MOVED THIS MONTH'S MEETUP. Due to the baseball game, we are moving the meetup out of the LODO area, but it's still north of downtown. Our Organizer LaSheita Sayer is graciously hosting it at her office:

ZoZo Group
700 E. 24th Ave
(24th & Washington)
Denver, CO

Free parking is available in the lot across the street.

A $3 contribution is requested. It's a steal. Look in your couch cushions, if need be.

For the July 2013 meetup, we are coordinating with Denver Internet Mastermind Group and have Google Plus expert Chris Lang presenting! Check out his Bio:

Born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1963, to a working class family in a very different world than the one we live in now, Chris considers himself an average everyday guy and wants nothing more than to tell you a good story. He’s been a musician, a cook and then a chef and a restaurateur. Having owned the corner store, he has also watched the corner store disappear into today's corporate ruled world.

In 1999 he left his 15 year cooking career behind and bought a computer. He found himself building his first website 4 days later. Chris is a full fledged tech geek and an entrepreneur. About 6 months ago, he and his wife fled the oppressive heat of Phoenix and relocated here to our mile-high paradise.

Chris built his reputation as an expert on social networking and social bookmarking long before Twitter or Facebook became household names. In 2008 Jack Humphrey named Chris Lang the "Nostradamus of Google" for his uncanny ability to predict Google's future moves. As a beta tester for groundbreaking G+ products, Chris has an insider perspective and the know-how to leverage it for profit.

Top experts like Mari Smith have called Chris Lang the #1 Google+ Marketing Authority. Do not miss out on this one of a kind chance to see this underground marketer come out of his secret lab and show us why Google+ is a must have platform for local businesses of any type and online marketers alike.

Joy Schultz just got her authorship set up, you can see it validating here:

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/richsnippets?q=www.joyofthework.com+

She used the hard coded method I showed you all at the show. HOWEVER it does take 2 to 4 days for Google to update the author thumb to appear in results...

Hi Chris, Yes. I would like to meet with you. I left you a phone message today. I tried some G+ things today...got started and now...so glad I have you as a resource, cuz I'm a bit stuck :-)

Joy, what we need to do next is get you on a Hangout since you don't need to meet in person with most peeps any more. Hangouts have replaced my need to leave the house most days, my phone and definitely GoTo Meeting / Webinar.

Cheers to ALL who attended. I had a great time and your feedback and questions where awesome. The http://GplusJedi.com offer is open to you all thru tomorrow morning. Hope to see you all take advantage of the half hour consult that is your special private bonus.

Much thanks goes out to Anita and Jim, for helping me to get to know your Denver community. - Chris

Great Meetup. I've always enjoyed the casual 'drink a beer and meet others in the industry' setup of the previous meetings, but this month's presentation with Google expert Chris Lang was excellent. Special thanks to the ZoZo Group for hosting, and the serving of chicken and waffles really knocked it out of the park. Nice touch!
