Diamond Lake and more

We will drive to Eldora and up the 4th of July Road to start this hike.  The flowers should be outstanding along the way.

   

Distance: 7 miles (RT)

Difficulty: moderate

Pace: 2. mph

Elevation Gain:  1,800 ft.

Dogs: Yes, if on leash

Lunch: We will stop for a lunch break at the lake

Be sure to bring plenty of water – a rain jacket is always a good idea

CARPOOL LOCATION:

Wooly Mammoth Lot, across from the Conoco Station, section BB. DIRECTIONS: I-70 West to Exit 259 (this is the Morrison Exit). Turn right onto Colfax, then make an immediate Left at the lights onto Mt. Vernon Canyon Road (so be sure to quickly get in the far left lane for this immediate turn). Continue until you see the Conoco Station on the right, then enter the lot on the Left. Then turn right for the BB section. Look for my white Honda Civic.
