Sleep in a bit, then join us for a hike past the scenic flatirons, through the forest to Woods Quarry. This is an interesting place you have to see for yourself. It's an area of rock benches with a view of the front range. (Read about the hike, from the other direction, here.)
Timing: Meet at 10:20am, we'll start at 10:30am. Bring a snack to enjoy at Woods Quarry. After the hike, the group may want to talk about lunch (I already have plans.)
Distance: Expect a hike of about 4 miles. If you want more, I'll have some ideas.
Elevation gain: Maybe 600 feet?
Pace: Expect a moderate pace, not too fast, but not slow.
Dogs: Allowed on leash
Donation: $1 ($0 if unemployed)
Location: Meet at NCAR near the entrance to the parking lot. Google: 1850 Table Mesa Dr, Boulder, CO for directions.
