Hiking is risky. Every year people are hurt and killed because they go beyond their abilities, get lost, or bring the wrong gear. I spend hours researching hikes and rely on various sources, but I can't vouch for their accuracy. I am not a professional guide, you are responsible for yourself. By signing up for this hike you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety and will do the necessary research to understand the conditions of this hike and the gear you require.

Sorry I can't go. I got a job for tomorrow and I have to take it. I would not be able to get there until after 5:30. I hope someone else grabs my spot.!

I would really like to go but I am new at hiking and am training to hike a 14er, so I hike and walk and climb hundreds of stairs. I am not sure that I could keep up at a really fast pace.

Hi Jan, hiking a 14er is a lot harder then this hike. The real issue with 14K peaks is they are at altitude. Be sure and get in some training at elevation before you go for it. We will be taking the easier trial up the first 1.5 miles. If at that point you have had enough, you can head back down that way. It is an easy trail. I encourage participants to hike at their own pace. We stop at trail splits to let everyone catch up.
